Two-match ban for De Rossi

Roma's Daniele De Rossi has been given a two-match ban for his slap on Gianluca Lapadula in the draw with Genoa.

The Giallorossi were 1-0 up in the 69th minute of the match, before their captain inexplicably smacked the Grifone striker in the face.

De Rossi was sent off and Lapadula scored the penalty, and the midfielder has now been given a two-match ban.

The Lega Serie A found him guilty of “gravely unsporting conduct”, and will now miss the Spal and Chievo games.

Thomas Heurtaux of Verona and Bologn's Vasilis Torosidis were given one match bans for their respective red cards.

Ante Budimir of Crotone, Verona’s Mohamed Fares and Inter pair Roberto Gagliardini and Joao Mario have picked up five red cards and miss a week as a result.

Off the pitch, Juventus were fined €10,000 for “derogatory chants based on territorial origin” against Crotone, and Inter will have to pay €3,500 for delaying the second half of the Cagliari game by three minutes.
