Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani threatened to “give everyone a slap” if Zdenek Zeman’s team had lost their 3-3 draw with Ternana.

It was another extraordinary match in Serie B this afternoon, as the Delfini were 2-1 up and then losing 3-2 until a last-gasp equaliser from Luca Valzania.

“The fact we keep risking defeat in games like this is absurd. We did it all ourselves, the good and bad,” ranted President Sebastiani on Rete 8 television.

It is not entirely new behaviour for Zeman, who famously said “possession is futile” and tried to limit horizontal passes.

“We were dominating even when down to 10 men. Fortunately, we believed in the result to the end, because if we’d lost this game I would’ve given everyone a slap.

“It cannot be possible to play with this lack of fire for the second half. If someone isn’t interested in working hard at Pescara, let me know and I’ll gladly show them the way out. We’ve got many players here.”
