Valeri to referee Juventus-Inter

Paolo Valeri has been announced as the referee for Saturday’s Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter.

The Nerazzurri lead Serie A after their 5-0 thrashing of Chievo last weekend, but have Napoli just a point behind them.

Juve, meanwhile, are a point behind that and will go top of the table, at least temporarily, if they win in Turin this weekend.

Today the AIA has announced the referees for Week 16, and Valeri has been assigned to the game at Juventus Stadium.

The official last took charge of the Bianconeri when they beat Milan on October 28, while his last Inter match was their 2-0 home win over Genoa last season.

Luca Banti will be the fourth official and Massimiliano Irrati will be on VAR.

Elsewhere, Michael Fabbri will be the man in the middle as Napoli welcome Fiorentina and Marco Guida takes charge to Milan-Bologna.

Serie A Week 16 referees:

Cagliari-Sampdoria - Fabrizio Pasqua
Chievo-Roma - Fabio Maresca
Genoa-Atalanta - Daniele Doveri
Juventus-Inter - Paolo Valeri
Lazio-Torino - Piero Giacomelli
Milan-Bologna - Marco Guida
Napoli-Fiorentina - Michael Fabbri
Sassuolo-Crotone - Gianluca Manganiello
Spal-Verona - Gianluca Rocchi
Udinese-Benevento - Gianluca Aureliano
