Gianni De Biasi is not only in the running for the Crotone job, but also an option to lead Australia’s Socceroos.
The former Albania Coach was sacked by Liga side Alaves and has now become hot property on the management market.
De Biasi has been linked with Crotone, who must find a replacement after Davide Nicola’s sudden resignation, and is an outsider for the Italy job.
Now Sky Sport Italia claim Australia have set their sights on De Biasi, as Ange Postecoglou quit after qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
Another main contender for the Socceroos is Avram Grant, along with Jurgen Klinsmann, Slavoljub Muslin and Christoph Daum.
Sven Goran Eriksson confirmed he was “interested” in the position.
