Jack Bonaventura hopes the 2-1 victory over Bologna can be “a new beginning for Milan” and their Coach Gennaro Gattuso.

“What mattered today was getting the victory, as we were coming off a period of intensive work without the results to show for it,” the midfielder told Mediaset Premium.

He scored both goals around a temporary Simone Verdi equaliser under the snow at San Siro.

“We’ve got the quality players to keep the ball better and we tried to do that today. We hope it’s a new beginning for Milan. It was a good performance and we want to do better.

“I am happy. At the start of the year, I wasn’t in good shape, but I am slowly getting back to 100 per cent. I’m glad for the two goals that I could help the team.”
