Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has insisted that “there’s no problem with Gianluigi Donnarumma”, despite speculation about his future resurfacing.
Donnarumma’s agent Mina Raiola had reportedly asked Milan to annul the contract renewal that the goalkeeper signed over the summer, but Gattuso made it clear the teenager was still happy at San Siro.
“For me, there’s no problem with Donnarumma,” he told Milan TV ahead of Wednesday’s Coppa Italia clash with Verona.
“Fassone and Mirabelli will talk if there are any problems with him. I talk to Gigio every day and I see a quiet lad, who hates it when he’s not winning. After Benevento, he was very sad.
“Will he start in goal? I don’t know. Storari? He took a small blow to his calf, so we’ll evaluate him tomorrow.”
