Gennaro Gattuso has hinted that Milan will stick with a four-man defence going forward as “it gives us more guarantees.”
Milan’s return to a 4-3-3 formation was put forward as a major factor in their 2-1 win against Bologna over the weekend, and Gattuso believes his side are feeling more confident about their Coppa Italia tie with Verona as a result.
“There’s so much to do: we won an important game, but now we must only think about tomorrow’s match,” the Coach told Milan TV.
“We’ll see today: there are a lot of players to assess, but in any case, the priority is to go through.
“Wins make you work better and give you confidence. The game was crucial, but the road is still uphill. The important thing is to see the lads train properly.
