Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis admits “I can’t be happy” with less cinema-goers and more football during the Christmas holidays.
Serie A’s winter break has been moved back to January 6-21, meaning there will be games played until the end of the calendar year for the first time ever.
“Being top is important, but champions are only crowned at the end of the season, not the start,” the movie mogul told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Under the tree this year, there’s less cinema and more football and I, as an entrepreneur, can’t be happy about football bringing down the number of cinema-goers.
“The campaign? We’ll take stock at the end of the season.”
