Cutrone: 'Derby needs no introduction'

Patrick Cutrone saw a deserved 3-0 win over Hellas Verona and the Coppa Italia Quarter-Final against Inter “needs no introduction.”

The teenage forward was on target along with Suso and Alessio Romagnoli in this evening’s Round of 16 success at San Siro.

“We started strong and got the goals early, so we pushed Verona back in the second half and deserved to win,” Cutrone told Rai Sport.

The next fixture in this competition is the Derby della Madonnina against Inter on December 27.

“The derby needs no introduction. We’ll be prepared and will try to get through to the next round.”

This is the second consecutive Milan victory, so what is different now that Gennaro Gattuso has replaced Vincenzo Montella?

“To be honest, I am nobody to say what has changed, but the Coach does transmit a lot of grit and heart, but we need more than that, such as the style of football we played tonight.”
