Rodrigo De Paul said Massimo Oddo has “changed the Udinese mentality” after their 3-1 win away to Serie A leaders Inter.

The Friulani became the first team to beat Inter this season, earning a 3-1 result at San Siro, including De Paul’s penalty.

“The entire stadium was jeering, but the Coach and the team had faith in me. Samir Handanovic is a great goalkeeper, but I practice penalties in training,” De Paul told Sky Sport Italia.

“We worked out that we had to play as a team and arrived here knowing we’ve got a lot of quality in the squad, with the right mentality to bring home the points.”

Udinese have won four in a row – including the Coppa Italia – since Oddo replaced Gigi Del Neri.

“Our mentality has changed under Oddo, as when you lose so often, you get used to it and it becomes difficult to change. He works on our mentality beyond the pitch. We have our own strengths and worked on the Inter weaknesses.

“I still think Inter can win the Scudetto, but we overpowered them physically.”
