The former President no longer owns shares in the club, but remains actively involved in supporting and advising Suning Group.
“I am very optimistic for the future of Inter, as the loss to Udinese was just a bump in the road,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia after their first defeat of the season.

“I don’t know if there will be January reinforcements, but I think a new centre-back and striker would be of use, otherwise the squad already works just fine.
“What the team has done so far shows everything required to continue doing well going forward. I can pass on patience and passion, care for the club, and I think all those characteristics are currently present at Inter.
“Nowadays, football has the kind of structure that makes it impossible to replicate what my family had at the helm of Inter. Suning are entrepreneurs and paid attention to the history of Inter.”
Moratti was asked if he will buy up Erick Thohir’s remaining 30 per cent stake in the club.
“No, I think he’ll sell it directly to Suning and the Zhang family.”
