Gian Piero Gasperini felt Atalanta could’ve sealed their Coppa Italia victory over Sassuolo earlier and Napoli will be “tougher.”

The Orobici held out after Jasmin Kurtic’s red card to seal the 2-1 win and set up a quarter-final tie against Napoli.

“I am glad that those who hadn’t played as much really interpreted the game with quality,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

“I am glad that those who hadn’t played as much really interpreted the game with quality,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

“We struggled a little towards the end, but even then did well to bring home the qualification. The truth is, we could’ve had a bigger advantage in the first half and it would’ve been very harsh to lose after that.

“These are games that can help us to improve as a team. Now Napoli await us in the quarter-final, and naturally the more you go forward in the tournament, the tougher it gets.”
