Fiorentina Coach Stefano Pioli doesn’t want to talk about Europe, but hopes Andrea Della Valle will return to the stadium.
The Viola patron spoke yesterday about the desire to make it into the Europa League, but stated that he won’t attend matches at the Artemio Franchi anymore.
“I don’t want to talk about what the honorary President said,” Pioli shrugged in his Press conference ahead of the Cagliari match.
“All I know is that when he came to Florence the day before the match he managed to give us a boost.
“The older players explained to me what he could give, the younger ones want to experience that, and I hope he can return to Florence soon.
“We want to bring enthusiasm and if the owners were physically here it would be important. We have to think about the pitch and the matches though, we have to be ambitious and try win all of our matches.”
Pioli was then asked about the January transfer window.
“It will be a market of opportunities, we’ll try to fill some gaps we have in the squad without upsetting anything. It’s difficult to think we could take a starter from another team.
“The ideas are there, now we have to see if we can put them into practice. There are so many dynamics.
“Right now I don’t want to think about the transfer market, just the matches that are waiting for us.
“Cagliari? We’re talking about a lively team who play very aggressively at home, we need to play well and with intensity.
“We haven’t scored for two matches but we’ve always had chances, so we have to be more clinical.”
