Bologna snatched a 3-2 thriller in Verona when down to 10 men, as Chievo man Fabrizio Cacciatore went from hero to zero in a heartbeat.
Mattia Destro opened the scoring within three minutes with his header from a corner, but Roberto Inglese replied in similar fashion.
Simone Verdi turned in the rebound from a poor Stefano Sorrentino parry on Adam Masina and there were desperate goal-line clearances at either end on Verdi and Sergio Pellissier.
Andrea Poli saw red, reducing Bologna to 10 men for the final 10 minutes, and Chievo took advantage with Cacciatore’s sensational curler into the far bottom corner.
However, moments later Cacciatore slipped on the edge of his own penalty area, gifting Destro the winner.
