Former Fiorentina President Vittorio Cecchi Gori is in critical condition after suffering a stroke.
The 75-year-old was patron of the club from 1993 to 2002, when the Viola went bankrupt and were demoted to Serie C2.
He was rushed to hospital in Rome on Christmas Day following a stroke.
Cecchi Gori has been taken out of an induced coma and his condition remains critical, but stable.
Along with his career in football, he was also a politician, cinema producer and television station owner.
