It is reported that Napoli are ready to make a €25m offer for Bologna’s Simone Verdi.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Partenopei boss Maurizio Sarri made clear after his side’s win at Crotone on Friday that he needs to sign another forward in January’s transfer window.
With Dries Mertens currently out of form and Arkadiusz Milik still yet to return from a long-term injury, Sarri is said to be concerned that Napoli’s Scudetto bid could falter if they do not bolster their attacking options.
And it appears the former Empoli Coach will get his wish, with the Italian daily claiming that a bid will be made for Verdi on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has impressed for Bologna so far this season, claiming six goals and five assists across 20 appearances in all competitions.
