Former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Sandro has had a medical for Serie A’s bottom side, Benevento.
The Stregoni got their first win of the season against Chievo at the weekend, but they remain 11 points adrift of Serie A safety.
Today Sandro was at Villa Stuart for a medical, with his troublesome knee examined by renowned surgeon Pierpaolo Mariani.
The Brazilian will now head to Naples to meet with President Oreste Vigorito and sign his contract, which is expected to run to the end of the season.
Sandro last played for Antalyaspor, but has spent much of his career in England with Spurs, QPR and West Bromwich Albion.
