Giovanni Simeone doesn’t think Inter are going through a crisis, and promises his father Diego will be their Coach “one day”.
The Fiorentina striker will face the Nerazzurri this weekend in the final match before the winter break, and the youngster is expecting a tough match.
“I don’t think they’re in difficulty,” Simeone warned, speaking to Premium Sport.
“Inter are a very strong team and have a great striker in Mauro Icardi. You can’t call a team like Inter into question.
“We have to respect them, they’re high up in the table and they’ll come to Florence to win the three points, but we’re ready to face them and play to win.
“I’m missing a goal against the Nerazzurri too, I’ve scored against most of the big teams except for them…”
Diego Simeone played for the Beneamata, and has been open about his desire to return to San Siro as Coach.
“I think the time will come,” Simeone Jr said.
“He’s happy at Atletico [Madrid] right now, but one day he’ll come.”
