Alessandro Florenzi has urged Roma to “be even more of a team and work as hard as possible” in order to get out of their slump.

Two defeats and no wins in three games have seen Roma fall nine points behind Napoli at the top of Serie A and crash out of the Coppa Italia, prompting a rallying cry from Florenzi.

“For me, VAR only brings benefits to Italian football and I hope football in general,” he told the Giallorossi’s official website.

“It’s not an easy time for us, but we’re not lacking anything.

“Sometimes we can’t do what we want, but we must work hard to reverse this negative trend of the last two games. I’m sure that by working hard every day, we’ll get out of it.

“What are we lacking? We’re on track as it is. Roma won’t have to change much, we’re a great team and we’re showing it, even if we haven’t done well in the last few games.

“We must be even more of a team in every sense, starting from training to the match itself. We must work as hard as possible to bring home the victory.”
