Giovanni Simeone believes Fiorentina “hard work and belief paid off” with a late equaliser against Inter. “A defeat would’ve been unfair.”
The son of former Nerazzurri icon Diego Simeone scored in stoppages to cancel out a Mauro Icardi strike in tonight’s 1-1 draw.
“You must always believe, as when you push to the end, you can find a way through eventually,” Cholito told Mediaset Premium and Sky Sport Italia.

“You must always believe, as when you push to the end, you can find a way through eventually,” Cholito told Mediaset Premium and Sky Sport Italia.
“We tried to score for the entire match and perhaps deserved more than a point, but this can help us learn and grow. A defeat really would’ve been unfair.
“The important thing for me is to help the team and we put in a good performance. We put a lot of effort in and need to keep building on this.”
Fiorentina extended their unbeaten run to eight rounds in Serie A and this was Simeone’s first goal against Inter.
“We mustn’t set limits, for me or for the team. I’ve been in Italy for a year-and-a-half and I think my hard work and sacrifices are paying off.”
