Callejon sets Serie A record

Napoli's Jose Callejon has set a new record, become Serie A’s all-time Spanish top-scorer.

The forward scored the second goal in the Partenopei’s win 2-0 win over Verona, his 52nd goal in Italy’s top flight.

Inter legend Luis Suarez, a Ballon d’Or winner in 1960 scored 51 goals for the Nerazzurri and Sampdoria, winning three Scudetti and two European Cups with the former.

However, yesterday’s goal puts Callejon one ahead of him, with 52 goals in 170 games for Napoli.
