Juventus have confirmed Paulo Dybala suffered an injury to his right thigh flexors, and his prognosis will be assessed “in the coming days”.

The forward pulled up clutching his hamstring after a sprint in last night’s win over Cagliari, and appeared to be in tears as he left the pitch.

This morning it was reported that he would be out for a month, and the Bianconeri have now given an update on his condition.

“The player underwent an MRI scan this morning,” a statement on the club’s website announced.

This morning it was reported that he would be out for a month, and the Bianconeri have now given an update on his condition.

“The player underwent an MRI scan this morning,” a statement on the club’s website announced.

“It showed a distractive lesion to the right thigh flexors which, with caveats relating to the earliness of the assessment, can be defined as being mild to medium.

“The player will immediately start rehabilitative care and his prognosis will be better assessed in the coming days.”

Giorgio Chiellini required no further attention for a head wound, and Sami Khedira has recovered after a blow to the head which caused him to be substituted.
