Torino have cooled their interest in Watford striker Stefano Okaka but could switch their attentions to Milan’s Fabio Borini.
Okaka issued a come-and-get-me plea to Toro on Monday, but President Urbano Cairo admitted the 28-year-old probably “wasn’t for us”, given he would not be able to play alongside Andrea Belotti.
“Okaka is an important player in his position and should be signed as a starter,” he told Rai Radio.

However, Goal.com believes the Granata are looking to sign a winger and striker and view Borini as someone who could tick both boxes.
Milan reserve a compulsory purchase option of €6m for the ex-Sunderland attacker, but the website notes Toro would have no problem paying that.
The Euro 2012 runner-up with Italy has made 24 appearances for the Rossoneri this season but has failed to score in Serie A and faces increasing competition from Hakan Calhanoglu out wide.
