It had already been suggested earlier today by La Gazzetta dello Sport that the deal would depend on a medical, as the Brazilian hasn’t played since April 2017 due to a series of injuries.

According to Sky Sport Italia this evening, a formal proposal has been sent to Barcelona to sign him on loan for free with an option to buy for €20m plus another €3m in performance-related bonuses.

A response is expected this evening and Rafinha could fly in for his medical tomorrow.

On the other hand, Sportitalia pundit Alfredo Pedulla claims that the option to buy would be worth only €17-20m.
