Genoa confirm they are interested in signing Manuel Locatelli on loan, but “we don’t know what Milan’s intentions are.”
The midfielder turned 20 on Monday and is under contract with the Rossoneri until June 2020.
His playing time has been very limited this season after Riccardo Montolivo’s recovery from a knee injury and the arrival of Lucas Biglia.
“We don’t know what Milan’s intentions are with Locatelli,” Genoa director of sport Giorgio Perinetti told Radio Sportiva.
“We like him, he is a young talent with enormous quality. If he were to choose Genoa in order to play more regularly, we’d be very happy to welcome him.”
So far this term, Locatelli has contributed one assist in 19 appearances for Milan in all competitions.
