Gerard Deulofeu reportedly wants €2.5m per year to move to Napoli, who don’t have a deal with Barcelona.

The Partenopei appear to be close to signing one of Simone Verdi or Deulofeu, and talks are continuing for both.

Verdi will decide after he comes back from his mid-season holiday whether he wants to leave Bologna, who have already accepted an offer.

It appears, therefore, that he is the primary target but Napoli aren’t dropping their interest in the Barça winger either.

It appears, therefore, that he is the primary target but Napoli aren’t dropping their interest in the Barça winger either.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Deulofeu is asking for close to €2.5m per season to make the move, and the Vesuviani are trying to lower that demand.

In addition, they have held preliminary talks with the Bluagrana but an offer has not yet been accepted.

The Catalans hope to sell Deulofeu outright this month for around €20m, but there are few clubs willing to pay that much.

Napoli are therefore looking to convince them to accept a loan, which would include an option or obligation to buy.

However, until Verdi gives an answer one way or the other there won’t be a definitive move for Deulofeu.
