Boca Juniors are reportedly close to agreeing terms for Milan defender Gustavo Gomez, with a €5m buy-out at the end of 18 months.
The Rossoneri have so far refused to accept a loan as part of the deal, but seem to have reached a breakthrough.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Boca have improved their proposal to an 18-month loan with obligation to buy for €5m in the summer of 2019.
Paraguay international Gomez was given only 10 minutes of playing time this season in a Europa League match and is not in the club’s plans.
As they paid €8.5m to sign him from Lanus in 2016, they are not prepared to let him go for a massive loss.
While Milan would prefer other clubs who can buy Gomez outright, the player is determined to join Boca on a contract to June 2022.
