Nicolas Gaitan is eager to leave Atletico Madrid for more playing time, confirmed his agent, and Inter are one of the options.
The left-sided winger turns 30 next month and has been in Madrid since 2016.
“The idea is that he will play regularly, so he could leave the Colchoneros,” agent Jose Ibarren told fcinternews.it.
“He is not getting enough minutes on the pitch. There are various options and as for now he remains an Atletico Madrid player.
“Gaitan doesn’t want to miss the World Cup, but above all he just wants to play. We’ll see what happens, but I think it would be good for both the club and the player.”
Inter are in advanced negotiations for Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez, Barcelona midfielder Rafinha and Ramires of Jiangsu Suning. Could they also go for Gaitan?
“I don’t know anything about that specifically, but I am aware that many clubs like this player. The important thing is to be aware of his price-tag and his salary.
“Inter are a great club, certainly. Who wouldn’t want to defend the Nerazzurri colours and live in Milan? But I repeat, I cannot give information on this, because we have not been informed by Atletico Madrid of any offer.”
