Genoa and Benevento have both confirmed their support for amateur League chief Cosimo Sibilia in the FIGC presidential election.

Sibilia is one of three candidates to succeed Carlo Tavecchio on January 29, and he has received backing from two Serie A Presidents in Enrico Preziosi and Oreste Vigorito.

“I think it’ll be a two-horse race between Gravina and Sibilia. If I had to choose, I’d choose the second one,” the Genoa patron told Radio Anch’io Sport.

His Benevento counterpart added: “The idea that a leader like Sibilia is elected, someone who has been in football for years and enjoys my esteem, both as a man and as a leader, intrigues me.”

It comes after Lazio chief Claudio Lotito pulled out of the race on Sunday.
