German Pezzella says he is hoping to “make history” with Fiorentina and stay at the club permanently.

Pezzella has impressed since joining Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy last summer, and the Argentine defender is keen to emulate former Viola stopper and countryman Gonzalo Rodriguez.

“If I am who I am today, it’s thanks to Daniel Passarella, who was my President at River Plate for four years,” he told Il Corriere Fiorentino.
