Inter are interested in Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, according to reports in England.

The Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their squad this month, but they can’t spend big as they have to meet Financial Fair Play targets.

As a result the Beneamata have been looking to do loan deals, with options but not obligations to buy outright in the summer.

While Mauro Icardi is a guaranteed starter up-front, Inter don’t have a reliable backup to the Argentine and now The Times’ Paul Joyce is reporting that they’re interested in Sturridge.

The 28-year-old has struggled for playing time under Jurgen Klopp, and has made just nine Premier League appearances this season, with four of those coming from the bench.

No details are given on the Nerazzurri’s interest, but it’s likely they’d have to do a loan deal, unless Joao Mario or Marcelo Brozovic is sold.
