The Orobici knocked Napoli out of the Coppa Italia on January 2 and are targeting another upset against the Serie A leaders.

“Last season our victory over Napoli was the Serie A debut for me and the turning point for many of my teammates. My brace at the San Paolo was an unforgettable night and I can only hope to experience another one like it.

“Gian Piero Gasperini asks us to be aggressive, as if you leave Napoli the space to pass the ball, you won’t be able to catch them. He wants us to press them really hard and that is how we must play on Sunday too.”

Gasperini does seem to have the measure of Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri in their head-to-head encounters.

“Sarri’s style is unique in Europe and you can never figure out how they’ve reached the goalmouth. Gasperini sees football in a different way to others, he wants us to start moves from the back and has changed my physical fitness levels too. It’s thanks to him that I have improved so much.”
