Daniel Sturridge has been offered to both Inter and Roma, who are considering the Liverpool striker if Edin Dzeko goes to Chelsea.

Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports this evening that Chelsea are in negotiations for a double Giallorossi swoop for both Emerson Palmieri and Dzeko.

The offer on the table is €50m, whereas Roma are demanding €65m and possibly the loan of Michy Batshuayi as well.

If Batshuayi doesn’t come as part of that move, then Eusebio Di Francesco’s side could turn to Sturridge instead.

He is eager for playing time to ensure his spot for England at the 2018 World Cup and won’t get that at Liverpool this season.

Inter probably wouldn’t guarantee much either, as they are only in Serie A and already have hitman Mauro Icardi.

Sturridge’s versatility would fit with Roma and their 4-3-3 football, also leaving Patrik Schick room to play in his preferred centre-forward role rather than sent wide to fit around Dzeko.
