Fabio Capello warns Rafinha “will need time” to make his mark at Inter and fears Roma require massive changes if they sell Edin Dzeko to Chelsea.

The Jiangsu Suning Coach is currently in a training camp with the team in Marbella and spoke to Radio Deejay about the latest transfer news.

“Rafinha is a player who has great quality, but he is coming off a long injury lay-off. He needs time and the problem is that you don’t get much time at Inter. I think he’ll need at least three full games before he can settle, because Inter are very different in playing style to Barcelona.”

There are reports Roma will sell both Emerson Palmieri and Dzeko to Chelsea in a double deal worth €50m plus €10m in bonuses.

“If you sell Dzeko, then you’ve got to invent a new system with a False Nine. Roma want to cash in, seeing as Dzeko is getting on a bit and will be 32 in March. The objective clearly is to lower the average age of the squad.”

They aren’t the only Giallorossi players on the way out, as there are also rumours Radja Nainggolan could be going to China.

“It depends on how they work out the contract, because there are these new Chinese rules now,” warned Capello. “There are limits on foreign players and we can at most register four, so we try to get the youngsters to improve instead.”
