“It’s an important match after a break and some results that were not positive. It’s against one of the most important rivals for position,” Monchi told Mediaset Premium.
On Saturday, Monchi read out a statement that didn’t deny Dzeko and Emerson were going to Chelsea, but instead focused on reassuring the team would not be weakened.
“I spoke yesterday in the Press conference to explain what was happening in the club. I think we should focus on the game.
“Whatever is done will be done thinking about what is best for the club and the team. In my mind is always the desire to strengthen the squad, which is my job.
“My work is 365 days a year. We are always ready to seek and find profiles for the present and the future. It’s not just one or two days looking for players.”
