Coach Davide Ballardini “was very pleased with Genoa in the second half” against Juventus.
The Grifone were beaten 1-0 in Turin this evening, but the tactician was pleased with his side’s performance after the break.
“In the first half we didn’t give ourselves any points of reference going forward and we didn't do well,” Ballardini confessed, speaking to Sky after the match.
“There wasn’t much movement and we didn’t have enough personality with the ball. In the second half we did very well, we put more players into their half of the pitch and pressed them.
“I was very pleased with Genoa in the second half.
“We caused Juventus some problems and if you do that it means you’ve already done your job.
“We could have been better with our final ball and in reading certain situations, but we can hold on to a good performance.
“Was I angry at the end? I went to compliment them, because I think Juventus are the absolute strongest, 361 degrees.”
