Napoli are reportedly still keen on signing Sassuolo winger Matteo Politano and could target Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira in the summer.
Sassuolo are playing hardball with Politano, but Gianluca Di Marzio’s website claims that has not stopped Napoli from ‘pressing’ for the 24-year-old.
Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis would have met Sassuolo sporting director Giovanni Carnevali, with the transfer expert adding the Neroverdi have already identified a replacement in Sampdoria wideman Gianluca Caprari.
As for next summer, Di Marzio expects Napoli to move for Torreira in the event Jorginho or Amadou Diawara leave.
The Uruguayan midfielder has a €25m release clause, making him an affordable option for the southerners.
