Inter have offered a “significant” loan fee for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, according to the BBC.

The Nerazzurri are believed to be interested in the English international, but can’t buy him outright due to Financial Fair Play restrictions.

However, if they sell Eder to Crystal Palace it could offer room for manoeuvre, and it’s now being reported that they have made an offer for Sturridge.

According to the BBC, the Beneamata have made a “significant but undisclosed” loan offer, which would also see them take on the 28-year-old’s wages.

There have also been talks over a permanent transfer, the British state broadcaster reports.

As with the Rafinha deal, it’s likely that would have to be an option to buy rather than an obligation, as Inter are being very careful not to fall foul of FFP.

The Reds are said to be happy for Sturridge to stay, but the player himself may want more playing time with the World Cup to come in the summer.
