Vincenzo Montella's Sevilla reached the Copa del Rey semi-finals after a 5-2 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid.

Sevilla won 2-1 at Atleti in the first leg, and goals from Sergio Escudero, Pablo Sarabia and former Inter man Ever Banega secured Montella's side their place in the last four, cancelling out Antoine Griezmann's wonder-strike.

“It was a great victory,” the former Milan boss said after the game.

“It was a great evening for all of us. Our spirit is to have attacking players like Navas, who did very well at full-back.

“We'll celebrate his performance but get back to work as of Wednesday. The team have shown steady signs of growth and I'm very happy with this. Now we have to keep improving.”
