Alessandro Florenzi maintains Roma “deserved far more than just a point and a draw is frankly harsh” after their last-gasp equaliser with Sampdoria.

Edin Dzeko nodded in during stoppages to cancel out a Fabio Quagliarella penalty in the rescheduled Week 3 fixture this evening.

“We deserved far more than just a point here. We played well from the start with the same hunger, aside from a few errors, and created much more than they did. A draw is frankly harsh,” the full-back told Mediaset Premium.

“We created a good 15 scoring opportunities. My volley would’ve gone in if it hadn’t been deflected and we’d be here talking about a different game.

“Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do about bad luck. If we play like we did today, then we can turn this current form around.”

Dzeko was on target despite continuing transfer speculation around Chelsea.

“We already said in recent weeks that the transfer market doesn’t touch us. We have to focus only on the pitch. If we play like this, we can do well.”
