Juventus have asked Atletico Madrid for the availability of Yannick Carrasco, as Matteo Politano seems to prefer Napoli.

The Bianconeri may well need a new winger, because Juan Cuadrado has been out of action since mid-December and could require surgery to correct the recurring groin injury.

That would put the Colombian on the sidelines for two to three months.

Politano had emerged as the first choice, but the Sassuolo winger seems determined to join Napoli, who were on the player far earlier.

Now Sky Sport Italia claim Juventus have approached Atletico Madrid to ask about Carrasco.

The 24-year-old Belgium international of Spanish descent plays on the left wing, but can also work on the right or behind the strikers.

So far this season, Carrasco has contributed four goals and five assists in 25 competitive games for Atleti.
