Roma have confirmed that striker Patrik Schick missed their 1-0 defeat to Sampdoria on Sunday with a thigh injury.
A statement on Roma’s official website explained tests had shown an injury to Schick’s rectus femoris muscle in his left thigh, as well as some swelling.
Furthermore, the Czech is already on the road to recovery, although the Giallorossi did not disclose a date for his return.
The injury has been put forward as a reason for Edin Dzeko’s proposed transfer to Chelsea possibly falling through.
