The North Korean striker is on loan with Perugia, but the Bianconeri are keen to secure a deal for next season.

His agent confirmed last week that talks had taken place with the Serie A champions, and Tuttomercatoweb is reporting further discussions today in Milan.

According to the website, Juve directors Fabio Paratici and Giuseppe Marotta are meeting Cagliari sporting director Giovanni Rossi to discuss Han.

Whatever happens the striker will stay at Perugia for the rest of the season, and he may well be loaned back to Cagliari for 2018-19 if he does sign for the Old Lady.

Any transfer could well prove problematic though, as North Korean players plying their trade in Italy has been controversial.

It’s suspected that the wages paid to players such as Han go back to their homeland to help fund Kim Jong-Un’s totalitarian regime.

Fiorentina terminated Choe Song Hyok’s contract in July 2016 after rumours up to 70 per cent of his salary was going to the government in Pyongyang, which would therefore be a breach of UN and EU sanctions on North Korea.

There have been no issues with Han’s salary, but La Stampa claimed back in September that Pyongyang refused to allow him to appear on Italian television.
