The former Juventus and Italy boss, who has been linked with a return to the Azzurri, was already under pressure heading into the match, and publicly demanded a vote of confidence.
However, his side were thrashed 4-1 at Vicarage Road this evening, and there is already speculation in the English media that this could be the end of the line for Conte.

Referencing the requested vote of confidence, The Telegraph states that “this crushing result sent out its own message” while The Sun says the former CT is left “staring into the abyss”.
While The Mirror notes that the travelling fans were vociferous in their support of the Coach, the newspaper also believes he is under increasing pressure.
“It is the same,” Conte said after the match when asked about his position.
“I stay here, try to work and put all of myself in the work. Which pressure? What is the pressure?
“I work – if this is enough it’s OK. Otherwise the club has to take another decision.”
Conte also continued with his criticism of the club’s ownership.
“I tried to warn everyone about the difficulty of our path, and the difficulty in the league, to find our place in the Champions League.
“Now we are facing a lot of difficulty and you can see [that] with a very bad performance, maybe I made mistakes with the starting XI today but my choices were very poor.
“I’m talking about the starting XI. Maybe the starting XI was wrong, because our start was very poor and it was very difficult to change something.”
