Torino Coach Walter Mazzarri has been given a two-match touchline ban after being sent to the stands in the draw with Sampdoria.
The Granata ended up with nine men after Fabio Quagliarella broke his nose and Ayfrie Acquah was sent off, incensing the tactician.
Gianluca Rocchi sent him to the stands, and today the Lega Serie A has slapped Mazzarri with a two-game ban and a €5,000 fine.
The disciplinary panel found he used “seriously offensive” language toward the fourth official, as well as addressing a “seriously insulting expression” to Rocchi when he sent him off.
As a result, he won't be on the touchline for the Derby della Mole against Juventus in Week 25.
Roma will be without both Radja Nainggolan and Lorenzo Pellegrini for the Benevento game, as with both picking up suspensions.
Pellegrini was sent off after 51 minutes of the win at Verona, and today the Lega Serie A has suspended him for one match.
His teammate Nainggolan picked up a fifth booking of the season in that game, so he will also miss Week 24.
Afriyie Acquah and Davide Calabria are also given a one-match ban for their respective red cards, while Danilo of Udinese, Sampdoria midfielder Gaston Ramirez, Genoa’s Luca Rossettini and Francesco Vicari of Spal have been booked for a fifth time this season.
Away from the pitch, Benevento were fined €3,000 after a smoke bomb was thrown onto the pitch, while Bologna got the same sanction for a banner insulting the officials which was twice displayed by the fans.
Benevento’s fines totaled €5,500, as they were also fined €2,500 for delaying the second half of their game with Napoli.
