Former Milan CEO-turned-politician Adriano Galliani has revealed that he turned down offers from other clubs “for romantic reasons”.
Galliani gave three decades of service to Milan, prior to Silvio Berlusconi selling the Rossoneri to Li Yonghong’s consortium last year.
The 73-year-old has since turned to politics, becoming Senator of his old friend’s Forza Italia party ahead of next month’s general election.
“For romantic reasons, I said ‘no’ to all the European teams that wanted me,” he told Tuttosport.
