FIGC sub-commissioner Alessandro Costacurta says there are “six or seven names” to choose from for the next Italy CT, including Luigi Di Biagio.
The Azzurri have been without a Coach since Giampiero Ventura was sacked after failing to qualify for the World Cup, and the former Milan defender has been put in charge of finding a replacement.
Antonio Conte, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Mancini and Claudio Ranieri are being considered, but it appears they’re not the only ones.
“Mancini isn’t the only one, but I can’t speak about those who are under contract at the moment,” Costacurta told reporters in Parma this afternoon.
“The choice of Di Biagio was automatic, he’s the best we could have at this point in time. He’s an excellent Coach, his motivation thrilled me.
“He could even guide our movement from September when Italy’s journey will start again.
