Anderson and Inzaghi reportedly came close to blows after Lazio’s 2-1 defeat to Genoa on Monday, but the Coach made it clear “wrong things” had been said about the pair, although the winger was not “in a serene state of mind” for the trip to Napoli.

“Wrong things have been said about Felipe Anderson,” he said at a Press conference.

“He didn’t come on like he had to against Genoa, but the defeat wasn’t his fault.

“He’s an asset for Lazio, but he’s not in a serene state of mind and that’s why I decided to coach him separately from the rest of the team.

“When he gets back to his best, he’ll win us lots of games. He knows what he has to do, I’ve always played him, but he needs a different attitude.

“We’ll wait for him and with his quality, he’ll be very useful for us. Will he be in the squad? No, but it’s a technical choice.”
