Benevento striker Samuel Armenteros has left the club to join Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers on loan.
A statement on the Timbers’ official website confirms Armenteros has arrived on loan for the 2018 MLS campaign, with an option to buy.
The 27-year-old only moved to the Stregoni last summer from Dutch side Heracles Almelo but made just nine appearances, scoring the one goal.
It comes after FIFA threatened to leave him in limbo, given he has already played for Heracles' reserve team and Benevento this season.
