Bologna then self-destructed, seeing Ibrahima Mbaye and Adam Masina sent off for shocking tackles on Rafinha and Lisandro Lopez respectively.

Nonetheless, the nine-man outfit still managed to threaten an equaliser to the last whistle at San Siro.
